Dr. Nadine S. James – President and CEO
Dr. Nadine S. James graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Biophysics from the University at Buffalo Division of Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI). She has over 14 years of experience in a clinical lab setting focused on oncology and holds a MSc in Medicinal Chemistry and a BSc in Chemistry. Dr. James’ extensive scientific experience has enabled her to engage in the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership (ISEP) between the University at Buffalo and the Buffalo Public School (BPS) system as an instructor and liaison. She has been passionate about establishing an affordable learning center since 2004 when she coordinated National Chemistry Week activities in multiple suburban and inner-city schools. Recently, she led a team of her peers, teachers and students in implementing ‘The Introduction to Basic Cancer Biology Program’ at an ISEP school. Dr. James has cultivated a number of relevant skills enabling her to reach different facets of the community at various levels. Her role is to translate the goal of IlluminXation to new employees, go door to door to establish relationships and collaborations with stakeholders (teachers, parents and students etc.), seek funding, and network for growth.
